Many years ago I took a trip along the coast of California, Oregon
with my older son and his daughter. He drove my car and had control
of the cassette tape operation. He continued to play Rickie Lee
Jones cassettes. While I normally enjoy his choice of music, this
time the constant singing of Rickie Lee got on my nerves. I asked
him, nicely, if we couldn’t listen to another tape. He did not get
made at me, but asked me “why did you not say something sooner.”
I did not have an answer, but really did not want to spoil the
wonderful trip. So to him I have to say, I love this song in honor
    of all Mothers.

You should have told him earlier that Ms. Jones was causing blood to pour forth from your ears. Or he should have noticed. : /
